We work out the tooling RFQ after communicate with customers to understand their requirements. Before we work out the tooling RFQ, we will briefly design the cavities layout and gates. In the RFQ, we will define the steel types of mold base, cavity, core, sliders, lifters, cavity and core inserts and also all neccessary components according to the tool life. We define hot runner brand and the gating method. We define the brands of standard components. With the very detailed RFQ, we make sure all mold makers would offer their quote on the same page. When we study the quotes from them, we can easily compare their quotes and make a decision.
